Ecoconsumer Clearinghouse Network Coordinator

Background
The ecoconsumer clearinghouse grows out the work of Earth Day 2000, an organization founded in 1990 to help consumers lead more sustainable lives. For the last decade, the organization has provided consumers with information through its bi-monthly newsletter and annual reports. Following on the heels of a successful launch of ecopledge.com on Earth Day 2000, the organization will turn its attention to the development of a national, web-based network of consumers who want to use their buying power in building a more sustainable society.

Job Description
Coordinator will be responsible for:

• Publications: Writing and, in some cases, designing publications to reach thousands of consumers

• Outreach: Expanding the network of consumers who are using their buying power to buy green through web-based organizing, media outreach and coalition building.

• Fundraising: Coordinator will provide campaign materials for membership outreach as well as be directly responsible for grants fundraising.

• Administration: Coordinator will be responsible for managing the legal and financial affairs of the organization.

Location - Christchurch, NZ

Qualifications
Strong writing, speaking and organizational skills are essential. Public interest non-profit experience preferred.

Salary & Benefits
Salary ranges from $17,500 to $35,000 depending on experience.
